Before you sign up
Questions we hear most
What happens after I sign up?
We review what you told us, then call you to talk through your student's goals, subjects, and schedule. From there we recommend a plan and match your student with the tutor who fits them, usually within a few days.
Am I committing to anything by signing up?
No. Signing up starts a conversation. There are no contracts at any point, and you decide how many sessions your student needs after we have talked through the plan.
How much does tutoring cost?
Sessions at either learning center and online are billed hourly: $65 per hour for middle school and younger, $75 per hour for high school subjects, and $85 per hour for ACT and SAT prep. In-home sessions are $5 per hour more than the rates above. Dyslexia intervention programs are quoted after a free consultation.
Can we meet at home instead of a learning center?
Yes. Tutors meet students at the Barrington or Wheaton learning center or online at the published hourly rate, and in your home for $5 per hour more. Many families mix the three depending on the week. Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia is the exception, because it runs at the Barrington Learning Center only.
